The TAO Coaching and Consultancy programs will allow you to be more successful in your (work) life and to facilitate behavioral change in others. The full programs are organized in Utrecht, Budapest and London. They are based on a Transactional Analysis frame of reference, though many other theoretical perspectives are used.

Specifically participants will learn:
• Different models of coaching and consultancy
• Intervention skills at the individual, group and organizational level
• To work in the context of ethical and professional practice standards
• To reflect on their own identity and behavior as coach, manager or consultant.

The programs have been developed on the basis of more than twenty five years of experience as a manager, coach and consultant in international business, and more than 10 years of work as an international TA teacher and supervisor. The program is internationally recognized by the ITAA and EATA.

Target group
The program is for managers, coaches, consultants and trainers who are interested in deepening their knowledge and skills of intervention in an organizational context. Minimal requirements are:

  • At least 5 years work experience as a manager, coach or consultant
  • Active attendance of all workshops and intervision groups
  • Take action to realize personal and professional development goals throughout the training program
  • Be co-responsible for the group process and supportive of colleagues development
  • Prepare reading, homework and presentations, papers or projects as dictated by the program

TAO program summary
The TAO program consists of four programs which together result in enough hours of supervision and training to become an experienced coach-consultant and to prepare for the CTA exam. Participants can register for one year at a time.
Every TAO year includes workshops, intervision groups and a presentation, paper or project.

The individual learning contract is leading in the coaching and supervision given during the program. Participation in a TA introductory course (TA101) is mandatory before participating in the TAO programs.

TAO 1 Foundations is focused on understanding and applying basic TA concepts in the context of organizations.

TAO 2 Working with TA is focused on using TA as an effective and efficient tool for executive coaching and consultancy.

There is an advanced theory and supervision group for people who are interested in continuing education in TA coaching and consultancy, for instance to complete their CTA exam.

Dates and times 2010
The TAO workshops take place on work days from 09:00-17:00.

The workshops are 6 weeks apart to enable participants to organize their intervision groups at least 3 weeks before the next workshop. Total investment in time is 18 days per year.

If you are not able to attend a certain workshop you may contract to catch up in a different location within the same academic year in another location, if contracted for at the start.

Costs
There are different prices depending on date and corporate status of the participant.
